Darts Secret Harbour
Secret Harbour has a character all its own - a coastal suburb with an unhurried pace, good neighbours, and the kind of community where people actually know each other. The marina precinct, the beach access, the long summer evenings. And when those evenings turn into nights and the ocean air comes in, that's exactly when a dartboard earns its place on the wall.
Aim Straight Darts supplies players across Secret Harbour and the wider Rockingham region with darts equipment that's worth playing with. Not generic imported sets from a general sports retailer - proper darts gear, selected by people who understand the sport.
Darts and the Coastal Lifestyle
There's something fitting about darts and coastal suburbs like Secret Harbour. The sport has a relaxed, social quality that suits a community that knows how to enjoy an evening. It doesn't require physical effort, it doesn't need good weather, and it scales beautifully from a casual knockabout to a competitive game depending on who's at the oche.
A lot of Secret Harbour residents have their serious outdoor activity sorted - swimming, fishing, water sports, running the foreshore. Darts slots in as the indoor complement: something to do when it's 40 degrees outside and the afternoon has turned into an evening, when you've got people over and want something more structured than just conversation, or when the kids need something to compete at that doesn't involve screens.
Premium Darts for Players Who Know the Difference
Once you've been playing darts long enough to get a feel for what you like, the quality of your equipment starts to matter. Not in a gear-obsessive way - a great player throws well with any dart - but in the practical sense that good equipment removes variables. Consistent barrels, fresh flights, and shafts that don't wobble eliminate factors that have nothing to do with your technique.
At Aim Straight Darts, we focus on equipment that earns its price. Our tungsten barrel range covers a broad spread of weights, grip patterns, and profile shapes - from straight barrels that suit a front-weighted throw to torpedo shapes that concentrate mass toward the point for a different flight characteristic.
Grip is particularly personal. Some players prefer a smooth barrel that releases cleanly from the fingers. Others want aggressive knurling or a ring-cut grip that locks the dart in place during the throw. Neither is objectively better - it's about what gives you consistency and confidence. Our product descriptions include detailed grip information so you can make an informed choice rather than guessing.

Complete Setups for New Players
If you're setting up a dartboard in Secret Harbour for the first time, the good news is that a proper complete setup doesn't cost a fortune. A quality bristle board, a mid-range set of darts, and a surround to protect your wall is everything you need to get started - and you can have all of it for well under $200.
The things worth spending on: the dartboard itself, and eventually the barrels. A quality board from Winmau, Target, or Shot will last for years. Thin wire dividers reduce bounce-outs, dense sisal fills cleanly, and the board stays playable far longer than budget options. For barrels, starting with brass is fine, but most players who catch the dart bug end up upgrading to tungsten within a year - so it's worth considering whether to skip that step.
The things where price matters less: flights and shafts. Even professional players use modestly priced flights - they're consumable items that get replaced regularly. Buy a few varieties to find what suits your throw, but don't spend heavily here.

Signature and Collector Darts
For players who follow professional darts closely - the PDC World Championship, the Premier League, the European Tour - signature sets from tour players are a popular choice. These sets are designed in collaboration with the players themselves, reflect their actual competitive specifications, and come packaged in branded cases that make them presentable as gifts as well as functional as playing equipment.
Australia has a strong presence on the professional circuit, and sets associated with Australian players are particularly popular with local buyers. Whether you're buying for yourself or looking for a gift for a darts fan in your life, a signature set from a player you follow is a genuinely special item.

Visit the Shop - Handle Equipment Before You Buy
Aim Straight Darts has a physical shop at 5 6/8 Bakewell Drive, Port Kennedy, a short drive from Secret Harbour. For players who want to make a considered purchase rather than an online guess, coming in to handle the equipment is well worth it. Premium darts are personal items - the grip texture, barrel profile, and point of balance all affect how a dart feels in your hand, and that's something you simply can't judge from a website.
We also run a competition-standard practice facility on site. Boards are set up to official specifications - correct oche, quality bristle, proper lighting - giving you the same conditions you'd find at a serious competition. It's there for players who want to trial new equipment in a real environment before buying, or who want a properly set-up space to work on their game outside of club commitments. Book a lane online to reserve your session.
We want to be clear about something: right now, Aim Straight Darts is a shop and practice facility - not a darts club. We have no intention of competing with the Secret Harbour darts club and association or any other local clubs. Those clubs are the core of the local darts community. Our practice facility is a training resource, not a social club - somewhere to improve between competitions and club nights. If demand grows and the community wants it, we'd love to add our own leagues and competitions in the future. But that's not the current plan. We're here to strengthen the local scene, not to pull players away from it.
