Points wear down and bend with regular use, and a damaged point is one of the most common (and cheapest to fix) causes of darts bouncing out instead of sticking. Swiss points offer a sharper, more consistent entry into the board; standard pro points are the reliable, affordable default. If your barrel uses a different thread size than the points you want, a threadhead adaptor lets you fit them anyway rather than needing a whole new set of darts.
